Surrounded by her family, Darlene passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018 at Nanaimo General Hospital.
Predeceased by her husband Robert E. Boyd (2009) and her parents Werner and Elizabeth Wiberg. She is survived by son Don Boyd, daughter Ellyn Boyd, grandchildren Kaley (Jason) Taylor, Rob (Nicole) Boyd and great grandchildren Toren, Izzy and Hayes.
Darlene worked in the financial industry for many years before retiring in 1985. She enjoyed reading, watching sports, her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Mom will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to thank Nanaimo General Hospital Staff, Cokely Manor and Dr. Desai for mom's care. In keeping with mom's wishes, no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour mom's memory may do so by making a donation to SPCA (Parksville Branch) or The Salvation Army.
After Glow
