Debra (Debbie) Hughes passed away suddenly at West Coast General Hospital at the age of 55. Debra is survived by her parents Lyle and Betty Brown; son Kristopher (Amanda), daughter Ashleigh Hughes (Aaron); grandchildren Faith, Lilly, Isabella, Kiana, and Talia; twin brother Douglas (Tracey) Brown, brothers Richard (Stacey) Brown and Brad (Corrine) Brown; sister Angie Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Alberta, Debra was raised in the Alberni Valley after her family moved here when she was a small child. She enjoyed working with others and became a Care Aid in Port Alberni. Debra lived, laughed and loved life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Athletic Hall, 3727 Roger Street, Port Alberni, BC.
