Dennis Glen Andow

June 8, 1947 - September 4, 2019
It is with heaviest of hearts that we must share the news that Dennis Glen Andow's earthly life came to an end on September 4, 2019.
He is predeceased by his parents Harold and Eva Andow, brother Leonard Andow and nephew Darryl Andow.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Lois, son Ryan (Melissa), daughter Lisa Rozwadowski (Doug), grandchildren Austin, Madyson, Tyler, Annika, Logan and Kendall. Also left to mourn his passing are brother-in-law Don Hawkins (Ethel), sister-in-law Verna Proulx, sister and brother-in-law Faye and Moe Zdebiak and 7 most cherished nieces Penny, Bonnie, Kelly, Tracy, Coral, Laura and Nicole along with many great nieces and nephews.
Dennis was an avid sports enthusiast both as a participant and spectator. He was president of the Men's slow pitch league, president of the A.V. Curling Club and a great community volunteer with many organizations. Coaching the kids in softball and soccer was one of his greatest pleasures. He was actively involved as a Trustee with the Alberni Valley United
church. Dennis fought a 40 year battle with Crohn's disease, sent his love and chose his time.
There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1pm at the Alberni Valley United Church on Church Street. Stories, condolences and messages to the family may be off ered at www.chapelofmemories.ca

Our most profound gratitude to his many doctors and especially to the nursing staff at WCGH for their professional, compassionate and dignified care of Dennis during the past 5 weeks of his life.
