Don Prevost passed away suddenly on August 9th, 2021 in Port Alberni B.C. Don recently celebrated his 90th Birthday with family and friends. He leaves us to join the love of his life Annette, his wife of over 61 years who passed away in September 2020. His broken heart is now whole again.
Don was born in Prince Rupert B.C. to George & Bea Ryan. Don was raised in Metlakatla and Klemtu by his Aunt Emily, who he called Mom.
Don & Annette spent most of their lives raising their family in Port Alberni where Don worked as an electrician at the Plywood Plant.
Don's interests included floor curling, Tai Chi, singing with the Barkley Sounds Community Choir and visiting with his friends daily at the Harbour Quay.
Don was a kind and gentle person who loved being with family and friends and was quick to smile and act silly for a camera.
Don was a loving and caring Husband, Father, Grampa, Great Grampa, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Don will be missed by his Children Deb, Don & Dave (Jeanette), Grandchildren Marie, Elizabeth, Alex, Mike, Trisha & Jon, Great Grandchildren Amber, Grace, Jordan & Jayne, Sisters Myrna, Loa & Jean, Brother & Sister in Law George & Doreen, Close Friends Nigel & Danette, Herb & Joan, Marilyn, Paulie, Anna, Alice & the Harbour Quay Gang.
A heartfelt thank you from the Prevost Family to Jennifer and the off-duty Police Officer who were kind and caring enough to provide comfort and assistance to our Dad. Many thanks to Dr. Izak Nel & Carrie for many years of family care. Also, a big thank you to Cindy and the team at Solda's Restaurant for being a part of our family celebrations and Sunday breakfasts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 25th 2021 for family and close friends.
