With sadness, we announce the peaceful passing on Oct. 10, 2016, of Donald (Don) Burk McCulloch (aka the carburetor man) at his home, after a brief struggle with cancer. Don was born Feb. 27, 1936 in Terrace, BC; the youngest child of Robert and Ida McCulloch. Predeceased by brothers Hugh, Jack, Bert, Jim, Stan and sister Evelyn; he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Heather (Taylor), his children Robin Redman (Mike), and Alan McCulloch (Sherri Brookes), four grandchildren, Alexis Horsman, Madison Redman, Creighton and Carson McCulloch, siblings Bill (Ivy), Harold, Jean Bigelow and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all of the medical professionals and home support, who cared for Don in his stay at WCGH and home. As well, his family is forever grateful for all the kindness shown by family, friends and neighbours. It truly means so much to us. Cremation has taken place. A private gathering will take place to spread Don’s and his favorite pal, Chevy’s, ashes at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM at Alberni Golf Club, 6449 Cherry Creek Road, Port Alberni, BC Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.yatesfuneral.ca
