It is with great sadness we announce that Doreen Terepocki (Babe) passed away in Port Alberni on Thursday, September 12 at the age of 83 years.
Predeceased by husband Andy, sister Irene Desbien and infant brother James. Survived by children Daryl, Gary (Cari Ann), Dave (Karmen), Lisa (Scott); and sister Linda Yeager; grandchildren Shannon, Lance, Brittany, Weston, Quinn, Shelby, Alisa, Michael, Jessica, Erica and other extend members.
Born in the southern interior of BC, Doreen married Andy in 1956 and the couple have lived in Port Alberni to raise their family ever since. Doreen loved being around her family and her home and she loved to garden, bake and sew. She also enjoyed going to all the craft fairs and musicals that were held here in the Valley. When she first moved to the valley, she worked briefly for the optometrist in Woodward's before working a number of years as a chambermaid for the Tyee Village Motel, and later as a school noon hour supervisor for the SD70.
