With hearts filled with sadness, the family announce that Doris passed away peacefully at Ty Watson House on Monday, April 26, 2021 after a brave and hard fought battle with cancer.
She leaves behind to forever miss her, her husband of almost 50 years, Bob; brother, Pat; sisters, Anita and Joan, niece Brinkley; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Doris worked for many years as a Manager for Coles Book Store but sadly the lifting and other physically demanding labour became to much for her. When no longer able to work with her beloved books, she moved into the area of finance and finished her working career as a bank teller. Doris loved gardening, carnations, yoga and Pilates, and the ocean.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour her memory may do so by making a donation in her name to Ty Watson House, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of their choosing.
