July 16, 1930 - December 12, 2019
With sadness, we announce the passing of Edward Clive Bigmore, on December 12, 2019 in Kelowna at the age of 89.
Dad was born and raised in Port Alberni and moved to Vancouver at age 20 where he worked as a longshoreman. Upon retirement he returned to the Parksville/Qualicum area. There were trips to Arizona with his brother and sister-inlaw, Alf and Clara, and happy times were spent at the Qualicum Bay RV park. In his later years, he reminisced about family times spent in Port Alberni with Alf and Clara and nieces and nephews. He wished his sister Lorraine, had also been there to enjoy the family gatherings.
At age 80, Dad moved to Kelowna to be close to his daughter where he enjoyed exploring the Okanagan and BC Interior and visits back to Port Alberni. In his final years Dad was very content and happy. He loved music from days gone by and was often heard merrily singing away at his care home.
With special thanks to Eva, she brightened Dad's final years with her devoted companionship. Ed is survived by his two daughters, Barbara and Glenda, his grandson Sam and great-grandson Liam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. There will be no memorial service by request. Your gentle smile and singing will be missed Dad, Rest
in Peace.
