LASOTA- EDWARD HENRY
Passed away peacefully in Port Alberni on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 93 years of age, following a 2 day hospital stay. Predeceased by his wife Ethel (2003), an infant daughter Patricia Ann, grandson Simon, son-in-law David Spearing, sisters Monica Taylor and Jean Visser, brother Fred and step brother Al Lysak.
Eddie is survived by daughter Dianne Spearing of Parksville, her children; Kjeld (Megs), Justin and Saul (Tricia); 2 great grandchildren: Teya and Rowan and son Raymond (Elaine) LaSota of Surrey and their children: Shane and Ryan. He is also survived by step sister Mary Gogal of Edmonton.
Eddie was born in Beausejour, Manitoba and moved to Port Alberni in 1955 and was a loyal member of the Carpenters Union as well as a long time member of the Sunshine Club.
Eddie's cremated remains will be laid to rest in Parksville cemetary beside his wife.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Tea and Open House in Eddie's honour on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 3757-16th Avenue, Port Alberni at 2:00pm.
