Predeceased by husband Art, sisters Mary Nabseth and Marjorie "Babe" Anderson.
Survived by daughter Lynn Cooley, son Steven (Michael), granddaughters Crystal (Murry), Robyn (Brent) and Alexis (Doug) as well as great grandchildren Jayden, Kesler and Taya.
Lyle passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on the morning of September 14th. To those who knew her whether they called her mom, gramma, gg, aunt or friend she was a person of constant, unconditional love and support and the memories of Lyle will always be cherished.
Lyle was born in Nanaimo the middle child of the three McNeil daughters. The McNeil family farm was located south of Parksville close to MacMillan Bloedel's North West Bay logging camp where as fate would have it her future husband Art lived and worked.
Throughout their life together Lyle and Art moved due to Art's job with M & B. Moving from their beloved Parksville, first to Powell River and lastly to Port Alberni. One of Lyle's passions in life besides family was gardening and she could always be found visiting nurseries up and down the Island. Although a private person her caring, nurturing ways naturally led her to become a volunteer and canvasser until late in life in each of the three communities she lived.
No service is to be held by request. A small gathering to remember Lyle will be held at a future date still to be determined. Donations can be made to one of Lyle's favourite charities: B. C. Cancer Society, B. C. Alzheimer Society or the BCSPCA.
