ORR, Frances Joan Patricia of Nanaimo, died peacefully from natural causes on June 30, 2016, at Duff erin Place Residential Care Facility. Frances, born April 5, 1930 in Saskatoon, was predeceased by her mother and father, Katherine & William Neusch, husband John Orr (2009), and beloved daughter, Leeanne Scott (2002). Married in 1954, Frances and John lived in Vancouver briefl y, before moving to Port Alberni where John worked at the pulp mill and Frances stayed home to raise their children. Son Bryan was born in 1959 and Leeanne in 1962. Throughout the years both Fran and John were always there to support their children and grandchildren as they participated in sports, music, highland dance and acting. In 1990, Fran and John retired to Qualicum Beach, where Fran enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing and other crafts. She also was a regular volunteer at Arrowsmith Lodge. Frances is survived by her son Bryan (Cathy) and grandson Riley of Nanaimo, granddaughters Laurissa Scott of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Aileen Scott of Coombs, sister Evelyn Wells of Saskatoon and many relatives of the Neusch and Orr families. In lieu of fl owers, a gift may be made to the charity of your choice. There will be a private
ceremony to commemorate her life.
