It is with much sadness we share the passing of Franco Nicolo Zanette on May 3, 2018.
He leaves behind his dedicated and loving wife of sixty-two years, Liliana, as well as his son Rudy (Barbara), daughter Linda, and granddaughter Jessica.
Franco was born in Italy on April 24, 1929 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He had a great love for his chosen country where he built a new life for himself and met his wife, Liliana, who had immigrated to Canada one year prior. He loved nature, the outdoors, and woodworking. He had a wry sense of humour, had a passion for learning, and was an avid gardener. During retirement he loved traveling to Costa Rica where he and Liliana would spend the winter.
He loved his family above all. He will always be remembered and loved, and his presence will be forever missed.
