In Loving Memory ~

Ginette Marie Gaudet, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devout Catholic, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024, in Port Alberni. She was born on July 30, 1940, in Prince Albert, SK.

Ginette was a loving and dedicated wife to Felix Gaudet of 60 years. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Ginette was a nurturing and devoted mother to her children, Lisa (Franco), Norman (Lyne), and Tina (George). She took great joy in watching them grow and flourish into remarkable individuals.

Ginette also adored her grandchildren, Devon (Jordyn), Ryan, Aimee (Dylan), and Marco (Megan), as well as her step-grandchildren, Claudia, Quinton, Caleb, and Savannah and her great-grandchildren, Paisley, Madelyn and Ava. She always made time to nurture these relationships and shower them with unconditional love.

Family was of utmost importance to Ginette, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She had a natural gift for bringing people together and creating a warm and welcoming environment. Ginette's home was always full of love, laughter and meals shared with family and friends.

In addition to her role as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ginette was an active member of the CWL. She found great solace and purpose in her faith and dedicated herself to serving her church and community.

Ginette's favorite hobbies included spending time with her family, her close friends, and her beloved Catholic Church. She found great joy in sharing meals, laughter, and stories with her loved ones. Ginette's warm smile, kind heart, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Predeased by her parents, Charles and Emiliane Painchaud and sisters, May and Therese.

She is survived by her siblings, Aline, Philippe, Marcel, Marianne, Majella, Denis, Cecile, John, Frank, Mike, and Vince, as well their spouses and children, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to family friend, Dr. Alan Fraser for going above and beyond in his care for our mom. Additionally, we are eternally grateful to VIH Palliative Care for making her transition easier for mom and the whole family.

A special thank you to her close friends who brought so much joy to Ginette's life and for their constant prayers throughout her battle with cancer.
