It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Armstrong on March 6, 2021. He was born July 19, 1944, in Jarvie, Alberta.
Gordon is survived by wife Jo-Ann, daughter Sandra (Tim), son Kevin (Jennifer), grandson Levi, brother Cliff (Betty) and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
His larger than life personality brought many smiles to the people in his presence. Gordon was a commercial fisherman for 51 years on the west coast from as far north as Alaska down to California. Gordon still holds the 40 year record of 118,000 Lbs of Halibut (dressed) in a 48 hour shotgun fishery.
He then retired to Forest Grove in 2010 and enjoyed sport fishing in the area and the many new friends he made.
