In loving memory ~
With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Graziella (Grace) Zanette at age 86.
Born in Italy, the eldest of 5 and last to depart us. She immigrated, at the young age of 18, to Canada via boat landing in New York and traveling by train up to Canada and then across the country by rail to Port Alberni. A long trip that made her teeth ache from the rattling and a soldier fell asleep on her shoulder. She was a beauty, so he may have played it up.
Married for 56 years to Massimiliano (Mike) Zanette (2014) and raised 5 children on the family hobby farm, affectionately known as "The Farm." She enjoyed gardening and especially her flowers. She was a devoted mother and had a soft heart and kind manner with fierce determination and resilience.
She is deeply missed by her family and friends: Claudio, John (Carol-Anne, Michael, Mariah, Natalia, Emma, Jaxson, Aaliyah, Jaxon), Lorena (Olivia, Josef ), Ron (Carol, Gage, Gabriella), Helen (Angus, Stuart), Lilliana (Linda, Rudy, Barbara, Jessica), Mari, DeLuca's, and her Sisters- in-law and nieces and nephews in Italia.
