November 14, 1957 - October 16, 2021
With great sadness, Herb passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 63.
Herb was predeceased by his parents, Amar Kaur Mann and Sohan Singh Mann. He is survived and celebrated by his daughter, Kimberly; his siblings, John, Pommy, Munjeet, Susy, Dave, Randy, Robbie, Geraldine, their spouses, and his many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Port Alberni, Herb worked at APD 45 years and was soon to retire. He dedicated his life to sports; whether it was playing ball hockey, football, or slow pitch- coaching his daughter's fast pitch team, or reffing flag football.
If not at work or on the sports field, he could be found in his big log house with a smile on his face and a story to share. Herb loved nature, music, and was known for his 'world famous' curried-chicken.
Herb was loved beyond measure, a honour to have known, and will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, his family would suggest donating to North Island Wildlife Recovery Association, Ty-Watson House Port Alberni, or Kidsport Canada.
