Ileen Joyce, Berard (nee Anderson)
October 11, 1931 ~ September 22, 2012
Born in Pine Falls, Manitoba, Ileen passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2012, in Port Alberni, BC, at the age of 80.
Ileen is predeceased by her husband; Romeo Berard, parents; Alexander and Frances Anderson her brothers Harold, Elmer, Eddie, Kenny and her sisters Myrtle and Vera.
Survived by her sister; Ruby Arnet; brother Wayne (Ellen) Anderson; daughters, Nadine (Rocky) Berard, Diane Kelleher, Deb (Bruce) Wood; son; Kevin (Kathy) Berard grandchildren; Ted (Anita) Cisecki, Tammy (Troy) Cisecki, Trent Bondue, Kalyne (Andrew) McIver, Joel (Tayla)Wood, Justin (Alyssa)Wood, Briana (Joey) Berard and Katlin Berard; six great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ileen was raised in Pine Falls and Selkirk Manitoba. She married Romeo in Pine Falls in 1952 then moved to Port Alberni in 1954. Ileen was active with the Curling Club and Worked at the Government Manpower Office. After retiring in 1988 Ileen took up and enjoyed the game of Golf. Ileen was also very involved with the Anglican Church, St. Albans, later becoming the Trinity Church.
Ileen will be sadly missed by family and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Trinity Church, 4766 Angus St, Port Alberni, BC with the Reverend George Pell officiating. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
