In 1951 dad immigrated to Canada settling in Prince George and in 1952 mom followed with Wolf and Hans. In 1954 mom briefly returned to Germany to give birth to Manfred.
During her time in Prince George, besides raising us, mom worked as a sawmill camp cook and eventually co-owned and cooked at a successful restaurant. In 1963 daughter, Angela, was born.
In 1965 the family moved to Port Alberni, where mom lived the remainder of her life. Throughout the years, mom worked alongside dad in various businesses. In 1972 along with dad she dedicated her life to her God, Jehovah and was an example of faith and conviction the rest of her life. She loved her God and family above all else.
She was an avid gardener who loved flowers, loved to read, as well as a good game of cards or Aggravation with friends and family. Mom was known as a classy lady, always gracious with a positive outlook and twinkle in her eyes. She was loved by all who had the privilege to know her.
