Jack Christian passed away peacefully on August 26, 2020. Predeceased by his parents Bill Sr. and Evelyn, and his brother Bill Jr.; Jack is survived by his wife Helen; children Renae (Jimii), Kevin, Carla (Ken), and Kody (Christina); grandchildren Janae, Rylie, Kirby and Darla; sister-in-law Linda, nieces Rita and Cheryl, close cousin Gordie and many extended family members.
Jack spent over 45 years in the logging industry, the majority of which was spent driving logging truck for Jack McKay. Being born and raised in the Alberni Valley, Jack had a great love of the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
The family would like to thank all the health care professionals who helped Jack through his illness. Special thanks to Dr. van der Merwe, Dr. Kulla, Dr. Johnsen, and the palliative care nurses, especially Colleen, who helped the family care for Jack in his final days.
According to Jack's wishes there will be no formal service. A private gathering will be held to honour Jack's life. Cremation will take place.
