Jack "John" Hewkin passed away peacefully in Port Alberni on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Doris, his sister Nancy (Art) and his daughter Tari.
John was survived by his three children Ross (Lori); Kelly; Phil (Shirley); son-in-law Rick; his sister Judy; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and the light of his life, Sassy.
As a young man John delivered milk in Vancouver by horse and buggy. He had an exceptional mind that drove many passions throughout his life, including carpentry and commercial fishing; there was no problem he could not solve.
John held many things dear to his heart, including his family, home, the Alano Club, and his dog.
John's favorite place to be was on his porch with Sassy, reflecting on life and how grateful he was for everything he had.
In lieu of flowers, donations may kindly be made in John's name to the Port Alberni Alano Club at 3028 2nd Ave, Port Alberni, BC, V9Y 1Y9.
