It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Jack, who was born in Fernie, B.C.
Jack was predeceased by his father Michael Benisky and wife Tanis Benisky. Survived by his daughter Angel Benisky and his mother Dena Benisky. Two sisters, Dena Girard (Leo), Darlene Benisky (Jim), and one brother Barry Benisky (Kim). Nieces and nephews Glen Meyer (Johnna), Lori Shumuk (Tony), Marisa Benisky, and Michael Benisky. Great nieces and nephews Tyler Dore (Kristy), Karly Dore (Matthew), Brandon Meyer, Kyla Meyer.
Jack enjoyed his career as a longshoreman for forty years. He always said "I love my job". In his early years, Jack enjoyed going on hunting trips with his friends. Later on, Jack loved his time spent at the longshoreman cabin on Pipestem Inlet with family and friends. Jack really enjoyed the annual work bees spent keeping the cabin maintained.
Jack (Jacob) enjoyed his home at Fir Park for the past eight years. A SPECIAL thank you to all the staff at Fir Park for taking such great care of Jack. He would agree, "Oh ya"!
A warm thank you to the staff at the hospital who made Jacks last days comfortable.
Jack will be sadly missed by his family and the many friends he made throughout his life. There will be no funeral by Jacks request.
