February 18, 1933 – May 25, 2022
In loving memory ~
Born in Flin Flon Manitoba, Jim moved to the Alberni Valley with his family when he was 10 years old.
Jim is predeceased by daughter Shirley Joy (1962), son Jim (1982), son in law Clifford (2012), sisters Jean & Mary.
Jim is survived by daughters Deborah, Pamela (Michael), grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by close friend and companion Dolores Clark and her extended family.
Jim served on the Port Alberni City Council, two terms as councillor and two terms as Mayor. He then went on to serve on the Port Alberni Authority, as a Director, and then as Chairman. Jim served with many Community Organizations, and as much as he donated his time and talents to the Community – he gave to those he loved.
We will miss his love, wisdom, kindness, and gentle guidance.
Funeral mass to be held at Holy Family – Notre Dame, Roman Catholic Parish, 4731 Burke Rd, Port Alberni, BC at 11:00 am. Saturday June 25th 2022.
We all extend our appreciation to Dr. D. White and Missy, Dr. W. Johnsen, and to all the staff and volunteers at Ty Watson House for their care and compassion. Thank you!
