It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandpa, and brother Jim. Jim is predeceased by his father John Anscombe, mother Barbara Anscombe (Royale) and survived by his daughters Tracy Hogeweide (Trevor), Kristy Davis (Edgar), stepdaughter Dani Price (John), stepson Brent McQuade (Melissa), grandkids Paige, Brooke, Thatcher, step-grandkids Ryder, Wyatt, Mila, Hanna, and his sisters Sandy Tottenham (Gary), Jennifer Beurling (Harold), and many nieces and nephews. Jim loved his over forty year career as a Log Scaler in Port Alberni. He was grateful as it allowed him to be surrounded by nature and even on the rainiest days he was proud to tend to his work. Jim also cherished the many moments he shared with colleagues and considered them friends. He had a passion for hot rods and loved to travel as well. He will be remembered by loved ones as a hardworking, thoughtful, kind and generous man who loved his home, community, family, and a good laugh. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA.
