Monday October, 03 a great man left us. Jeff passed away suddenly at the age of 60. Predeceased by his parents, Sandy and Shirley Kernachan, as well as nephew Troy. Survived by his loving wife Joy of 39 years, his two sons Travis (Crystal), Colin (Hayley), and honorary Granddaughter Gracie. He also leaves behind his brother Dennis (Fran), many Aunts, Uncles and friends. Jeff and Joy moved from Sooke to Port Alberni in 1979 where he began his auto mechanics career. He started work with M & B at Sarita Bay, as the companies changed so did the shop’s, he retired in 2013 due to health issues. Jeff enjoyed family time, fishing, hunting, camping and was even a scout leader for his sons. He was proud of his sons, always involved and interested in what they did. Jeff is a man who had a kind heart and a warm smile. He will be missed. A memorial tea will be held on Nov, 05 from 1-3. Port Alberni Kin Hut.
