Jessica Winter passed from this earth to be with her parents and the Lord on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 30 years of age. Left behind to mourn her passing is her son Mattias Newton, brother Graham, grandparents: Dieter and Judith Winter, and Dorothy Hughes (Hank Grobowsky); her aunts and uncles: Ralph Winter (Honor), Wayne Hughes (Dagmar), Cauleen Pollock, and numerous cousins. Jessica also leaves behind many friends, especially Tamara Dutton, Stefan Zaharoff, Samantha Clark, Nicole Tennison and Christina Klemencic, who she always referred to as family, loved dearly, and talked about continually.
While Jessica was only here with us for a short time, she touched countless lives with her kind heart, hilarious hijinks, and desire to help others before herself. Despite the struggles and heartache she faced throughout her life, she never gave up her faith in the Lord, and fought each day to overcome her afflictions.
The most important thing to know and remember about Jessica is that she was deeply loved by all those who knew her, and loved those close to her heart immensely. Her pride and motivation was always her son, who she loved most of all.
A memorial will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Best Western Barclay Hotel, 4277 Stamp Ave., Port Alberni. Cremation has taken place.
