Joginder Kaur Begana (Manhas) passed away in peacefully with her son Paul by her side on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by loving husband Mohan Singh Begana in 2003, Joginder will be sadly missed by her sons Satnam, Sukhdev, Sukwinder (Maureen) and Paul; as well, her grandchildren Julia and Ravi will dearly miss their Bibi.
Born in India, Joginder immigrated to Canada in 1969 with her, then, 3 boys following her husband Mohan who had come to the country 4 years prior.
Her son Paul was born in 1970. Joginder worked hard at raising her family and was kept very busy with chasing after her 4 boys.
Deeply spiritual, she was very involved with the Gurdwara and local Indo Canadian community until her health no longer allowed her to.
Joginder was always active and was a familiar sight, regularly taking walks in her old neighbourhood and attending Echo Centre Pool on a daily basis until she was in her 70's.
A Funeral Service will be held on at 12 noon, Sunday, October 8, 2017 from the Chapel of Memories, 4005 - 6th Ave.
Cremation will take place with a luncheon to follow at the Alberni Valley Gurdwara, 4731 Montrose St.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr Depape and his receptionist Celine, the staff of WCGH, Home Support and staff at Fir Park for their exceptional love and care of Joginder over the past 15 years.
