In loving memory ~
John passed away peacefully in hospital on Aug 21, at age 96. His wish to go home to his Lord and wife Antje has been granted.
John was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1955. He settled in Port Alberni, and worked for Macmillan Bloedel.
He is survived by sons Thomas, Gerald (Christina), grandchildren Jenna (Chad), Cole, Callie, great grandson Brooks, and in the Netherlands sister Mieke.
Predeceased by wife Antje, and in the Netherlands, brothers Jan, Gerald, Ben, sisters Dora and Toni.
Graveside service to be held Aug 31, 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. De Witt as well as everyone at Heritage Place and Rainbow Gardens for the wonderful care.
