HORNQUIST; John passed away in West Coast General Hospital on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the age of 78.
John is survived by loving wife Thelma; children Rick (Shannon), Marty (Donna), and Glenda; grandchildren Kellen, Shea and Nicole; as well as sister Judy (Doug). John grew up in the Alberni Valley. He became a building inspector for the Alberni Clayoquot Regional District in 1974 and after 25 years of service, John retired in 1999. A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be made to the BC SPCA Alberni-Clayoquot Branch, 4936 Broughton St, Port Alberni, BC., V9Y 8R6.
