In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dave at West Coast General Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Dave leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Wendy, (his girlfriend of 33 years. Seymour) Daughter Jessica Chabot (Paul), Eden Chabot Jay Cock (Dave), son Davis Waite Telford, and his three precious grandchildren Maddison, Cooper and Sophie. Dave was predeceased by his son Richard James Telford in 2020. He also leaves behind his siblings Jim, Fran, Sharon, Pat and Shawn and their families.
Dave maintained a 60-year friendship with good friend Dave Pot of Alaska and will be missed by many friends he made in Port Alberni. He moved to BC from Quebec and worked several jobs until he started in the logging industry where he worked until retirement.
The Legion was an important part of his life as his parents and other family members served their country.
Dave loved animals, especially Basset Hounds, (at one time 5 of them) and birds. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish the rivers and streams.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Legion or the SPCA.
