It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Judith Ellen Schneider at the age of 76. Mom with all her tenacity fought a courageous battle with cancer; she passed away while in care at Ty Watson House in Port Alberni on June 15, 2022.
Predeceased by her parents Carl and Winnifred, husband Marty (2000) and brother Ron.
Survived by sons Andrew (Pamela), (grandchildren Rebecca, Jordan, and Zackary) and Duane (Lorrie), brother Bob (Sandy), sisters Eleanor and Audrey (Tom), sister in law Carolin; as well as nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
Judy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to the island in her early twenties, finally putting down roots in Port Alberni. Judy met the love of her life Marty and soon they started a family.
Many summers were spent camping at Snow Creek with family and friends and many fond memories were formed. As the boys grew and became older, she looked to embark on a career to call her own, she became an Avon Consultant.
She was an avid sales consultant for over forty years, achieving the highest award for sales, making presents club and being presented with a Mrs. Albee every year.
Cancer hindered her ability to continue her beloved career and forced her into retirement in the Spring 2022. To all her loyal customers, know that she really enjoyed the relationships and friendships made during her career.
The Family would like to extend a heart felt "Thank you" to Dr. Nell and staff, Community Nursing, West Coast General Hospital, Ty Watson House, Victoria and Nanaimo Cancer Clinics and all the numerous specialist who provided care, compassion and treatment during her cancer journey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
