Karon La Von Giesbrecht, formerly of Port Alberni, BC, passed away on the morning of July 28, 2020 at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta. She is survived by her children, Owen (Susan), Sarah (Len), Chad (Jill), Margaret. Her grandchildren: Althea (Kylan), Ashley, Rachel (Ryan), Jesse, Makayla, Jessica, Paige, Kayden, Gerhardt, Koel, and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Darlene Woo and Sharon Mudge, of Lethbridge, AB.
Karon was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Klaas, and her daughter, Christina, as well as by her parents, Ruby and Charles, her sister Joy, and brothers, Howard and Earl. Karon La Von Logan was born and raised in Lethbridge, AB where she met the love of her life, Klaas Giesbrecht, whom she married on July 13, 1963. They remained lovingly married until Klaas passed on October 13, 2014, with Karon by his side.
Throughout her life, her spirituality and faith guided her. She held strong to her faith and always knew she would be by his side once again.
Her remains will be cremated and the family will be having a small service to honour and remember their beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 10AM in Lethbridge.
