Kathleen Eloise Sharpe ( McKenzie ) passed away on Nov 20th at the age of 100 in the company of family.
She is predeceased by her husband Edward, children Naomi (14 days old) & Doug, as well as her favorite SIL Allan & her 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her Daughter Linda, DIL Donna, DIL Donna (Howie), Life Long Friend Dorothy, Grandchildren Tanya (Justin), Bryce (Amy) & Lindsay (Zach) as well as her 7 great grandchildren Harrison, Tanner, Jordyn, Dylan, Ryleigh, Sawyer & Finn.
Many will remember Kay from working at the TD bank, or from her many years as secretary at EJ Dunn School, or that she could recite the alphabet backwards. In her spare time Kay loved bowling, playing cards with the Sunshine Club, doing her daily crosswords and trying her luck on the lotto max.
Born in Nanaimo, Kay met Eddy and moved to Montreal where they started their family, later settling in Port Alberni where Eddy worked for EN rail.
Thanks to the staff at Fir Park for their compassionate care. A service will be held at a later date in the spring.
