It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laurie Ann.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, her Father Maurice Blake, Cousin Lance Hickey and Nephew Zakkaree Coss and is survived by her Mother Jone Blake, older Sister Kimberly Blake, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews and her long time Best Friend and "Soul Sister" Carolyn Jefferson; All of whom she held dear to heart in her small knit circle.
Laurie was born and raised in Port Alberni, attending Gill School and hanging with Angela Walker. She had many close friends over her school years and was well known for the years she worked at Jax Store. She moved to Nanaimo for work and spend the last 16 years at Thrifty Foods. She loved the waterfront in Nanaimo, shopping in the Thrift stores, her pets and her housesitting job.
A Celebration of Laurie will be held Sunday, March 11, 2018 - 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the Search and Rescue Hall - 4790 Tebo Road, Port Alberni.
