October 3, 1938 to March 16, 2015
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard Joseph Bahuaud of Port Alberni on March 16, 2015 after a courageous battle with ALS. He is survived by his loving wife Alice of 52 years, son Richard (Darla) and grandchildren Nicolas and Kelsey, brother Norman Bahuaud, sister Doreen (George) Tisserand and numerous other family members and friends. Len was predeceased by his parents Henri and Lona, sister-in-law Lise, and brother Edgar. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Ty Watson House especially to Nurse Colleen, Dr. Wendy Johnson and Occupational Therapist Carmen.
Len loved the outdoors and spent a lot of weekends camping with his family and friends. When he wasn’t camping you could always find him in his workshop. He and Alice enjoyed spending winters in Yuma. Len loved his grandchildren and he will be sadly missed by them. His new daughter-in-law grew close to Len in a very short time. He became an important part of her life. Len’s son cherishes the times they spent together. Len was a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.
No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society.
