Lloyd Hills passed away in Fir Park Village on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the age of 90 years.
Predeceased by parents Albert and Mary Hills, sisters Ve and Betty as well as partner Frank
Survived by brothers Jim (June) and Ron (Thelma); nieces and nephews Loren, Wendy, Kathy, Nola, Lynn, Terry, Cameron, Linnea, Kevin, Lana, Duane as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Born and raised in Alberni, Lloyd moved to England in his younger years where he lived and worked at Harrod's Book Store. After a short time he moved back to Canada and to Vancouver where he owned his own book and record store for over 20 years.
Lloyd then returned to the Valley eventually coming to live in Fir Park. He was the family historian and remembered names and dates with his fantastic memory. Lloyd had an amazingly accurate memory for historic information regarding some of the pioneering families as well as the history of the Alberni Valley.
A graveside service will be held at 11am - Friday, August 20, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery, Port Alberni, BC.
