Lydia “Lil” James - Dec. 19, 1917 to Oct. 14, 2016
Passed away peacefully at the age of 98. Predecesased by her late husband Les, along with five brothers and sisters. Survived by her two sons Doug and Brian James of Port Alberni and his family; her grandchildren Corinne Worke (Byron) of Red Deer AB, Derek James (Rachelle) of Port Alberni, Carleen Blackmore (Shannon) of Rimbey, AB; along with great grandchildren Chelsea, Jorja, Jaymis, Jordan, Piper, Nevaeh, Taylor, Shelby and many nieces and nephews.
She came to Port Alberni at a young age leaving the farm life in Bashaw, Alta. She started working at the Panda Bar Cafe baking home-made pies, where she met Les and soon got married and raised two sons. She was a stay at home Mom, she could be found working in her flower beds or garden, or baking a pie. She lived a long full life.
Cremation to take place. No service by her request.
