Margaret passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Parskville, B.C. at the age of 102.
Predeceased by her husband Ron MacGregor in 1993; son-in-law Jim Atkinson in 1993, and her three sisters, Marion, Doris, and Ruth; Jean is survived by her daughter Karen (Doug) Probert and her children, Jeannie Dixon, Sandra Friesen, and Don Atkinson; daughter Beth (Ed) McAskill and their children, Colleen Chomeakwich, Bill McAskill, and Catherine Franklin; daughter Ellen (David) Myrfield and their children, Jeff, Alec, Graham, and Katie Myrfield; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
Born in Brantford, Ontario on August 19, 1914, Jean came to Port Alberni with her husband, Ron, and three daughters in 1957. She was an amazing wife, mother, and homemaker who loved being there for her family. Jean was always a warm and welcoming person and made everyone feel loved. She also loved to garden and was an avid reader who loved to learn.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Stanford Place for the wonderful and loving care they gave to “Mama Jean”.
