Margaret Taylor

March 22, 1924 - August 31, 2019
With heavy hearts we announce Margaret's passing on Saturday, August 31, 2019. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Stanley; children, Marc and Kelly; grandchildren, Ryan (Elena), Lyndsey (Mike), Joleen (Kevin), Robert (Tracy); great grandchildren, Trinity and Abigail; 8 brothers and sisters; as well as many friends and extended family members. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Emma; and daughter, Kim.
Leaving Germany after WWII, Margaret moved to Canada in 1954. After stops in Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Ocean Falls, she settled in Port Alberni in the winter of 1959 where she met her husband, Stan. They soon married in May of 1960 and went on to start a family in 1966. Margaret worked most of her life at West Coast General Hospital and enjoyed her well earned retirement by travelling, gardening, and playing with her grandchildren. She spent her final days full of love and laughter in Ty Watson House surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Margaret's honour at 1 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Hanson Hall, 3940 Johnson Road in Port Alberni. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Margaret's memory may do so by making a donation in her name to Ty Watson House.
