Anita Fournier passed away at West Coast General Hospital on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the age of 94.

Predeceased by her husband Armand; Anita is survived by her children Yolande Fournier, Adrienne (Wayne) Beauregard, and Paul Fournier; grandsons Daryl (Robyn) Beauregard and Alan (Alisha) Beauregard; great-grandchildren Everett, Luc, and Estella, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Anita moved from Montreal to Vancouver to marry the love of her life, Armand, in 1947. After living in Woodfibre and Nanaimo, Anita and Armand settled in Port Alberni in 1958. She quickly became involved in the community, becoming one of the founding members of the Sunshine Club and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 55 with Armand.

She loved playing all types of card games and ran the bridge club for the Sunshine Club for many years. She was a warm and loving person and made everyone she met feel like her family. Anita was a devoted, caring and loving mother and grandmother.  She felt blessed that she was able to have precious time with her great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 5P1.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anita's memory to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Poppy Fund.
