Merry Ken

April 15, 1939 - September 25, 2019
Ken Merry, loving husband and father of four, passed away at the age of 80 on September 25, 2019.
Ken was born on April 15th, 1939 in Victoria BC. He worked for the BC Forest Service for 35 years, before retiring to Port Alberni. He then became a member of the Power and Sail Squadron and Toastmasters.
Ken had a passion for gardening and won many prizes for his fruit and vegetables at the fall fair. He enjoyed summers fishing and staying at the family cabin down the Alberni Inlet. In the fall he liked to go moose hunting with his friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his father James, his mother Doreen, and his sister Pam. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lorilee; his four children, Andrew (Charlene), Elizabeth, Kathleen, and Caroline; six grandchildren, Aidan, Anton, Kiera, Jordan, David, and Dean; his brothers Ellis, David, Doug, John, Rolly and sisters Diane and Cheryl, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 at Cherry Creek Community Centre Banquet Room from 1:30-4:30 pm.
