Mike Phillips passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Nanaimo, BC at the age of 59.
Predeceased by mother, Mavis; Mike is survived by wife Elaine; children Wade (Brittany) and Kevin (Noelle); grandchildren Hailen, Shayla, Blair and Maddison; father Raymond (Marcy); siblings Theresa, Donna (Bob), Jim, Brenda, Marion (Mike) and David (Shirley) as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and "work" family.
Born and raised in the valley, Mike is best known for his love of music and being the DJ for friends and family for many events and parties. He loved being out on the Canal fishing, smoking fish and spending time with his grandchildren and and other family members.
Mike started working for Rotor Maxx Support Helicopters in Parksville over 10 years ago and loved every moment of his time there.
