Myron Maedel passed away peacefully in Port Alberni on July 20, 2020. He was survived by his children: Wayne; Grant (Anita); Gary ( Teresa); Brenda (Darren); son-in-law Dan, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Myron was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen, and his daughter Rhonda.
In 1936, at the age of 7, Myron and his family moved to BC and eventually settled in Port Alberni. Many in town will remember him as their favorite school-bus driver and his years as a volunteer at the Cherry Creek fire department. Myron was a lover of fishing, camping, traveling, and telling witty jokes, he will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love for his family.
Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kitshoff, the Staff at Abbeyfield, and Rainbow Gardens for their kindness and compassion to Myron in his last few years.
