Neil Savard passed away in Port Alberni on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the age of 76.
Predeceased by his brother Edward, sister Mary and nephew Leo. Survived by loving wife Carol; children Brian (Shellie) and Laurie (Sean); grandchildren Jordan and Logan; siblings Cecile, Victor (Linda), Louise (John) and Marianne (Joe); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Neil met his loving wife Carol of 54 years and started their family in White Rock. They moved to Port Alberni in 1980 where Neil started a brick laying business.
The family enjoyed summers at the Water Ski Club at Sproat Lake and fishing at their family float cabin in the Barkely Sound.
After retiring in the mid 90's Carol and Neil travelled the world. At home, Neil loved spending time in his garden and making his wine.
Neil had a gift for welcoming everyone. He loved to visit, share his stories and raise a glass of wine. He was well loved and will be greatly missed.
