In loving memory ~
With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Nel Wolvers on December 18, 2021. She was born in Holland December 18, 1923. She married our dad, Jerry, during WW2 in 1944 and having survived the Nazi occupation they immigrated to Canada with their two children in 1950. They settled in the Alberni Valley in 1952 to raise their family.
Mom was a devoted wife and mother who possessed a deep love for reading and crafts. Genuine and selfless to a fault, she was humble and forgiving beyond words and believed in fair treatment of all. She volunteered at every opportunity with the PTA, 4-H, Brownies, while her children were growing up, and then the Sunshine Club for 40 years. She touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed by all.
Predeceased by Jerry in 2005, their daughter Elsie in 2017, and grandson Adam in 2019, she mourned their loss and missed them every day. They are all now dearly missed by their son Bram (Donna), daughters Ria (Joe), Adriana (Don), Nettie (Bob), and Yolanda (Faron) along with 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great, grand daughters. Predeceased by her own parents and her 6 siblings, as well as all of dad's siblings. Her beloved niece Antje and husband Arie and many nieces and nephews and friends too many to name. No service due to COVID with a celebration of life to follow in the future.
