Patricia Diane 'Pat' Bouchard

Patricia Diane Bouchard (Pat), passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, August 2, 2020 after a very courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71.
Pat lived most of her life in the Alberni Valley where she dedicated her time to her children, grandchildren, her friends, family and her love of hard work.
She was a devoted volunteer in the community and belonged to many committees over the years; AV Minor Hockey, Bowling League, Alberni Valley Field Hockey Association, The Salvation Army, ADSS Breakfast Club, Beaver Creek Hall, Genealogy Group, PAGO Grannies, Centennial Belles, Toy Run and many more.
Pat had many job titles over the years and was always looking to expand her skills and to learn new things. While working over 20 years at the Coast Hospitality Inn, she also shared her love of playing slow pitch for the Hospitality Hooters.
In her younger years Pat loved spending her free time playing a good game of Field Hockey and Bowling.
Some of her best memories are of the wild fun she had with her teammates on road trips or after game celebrations. Pat had many life-long friends which she had kept contact with and continued to meet for celebrations and reminiscing.
Pat is predeceased by her biological father, Francis Robinson, father, William Jensen and her brothers Francis Robinson jr. and Joseph Jensen.
She leaves behind her mother, Cora Jensen, her children, David Nalleweg (Michelle), Sian Nalleweg (Al) and Andrea Knoll (George), her granddaughters Ella, Maddie, Livia, Emily, Megan, Halle, Thalia and great-granddaughter Ava.
She also leaves behind her siblings Don Jackson, Fran Klyne (Dave), Chuck Jensen (Rosa), Marlene Tardif (Dennis), Jim Jensen (Wanda), Peter Jensen (Ellen), and Joyce Skrjanec (Jerry), as well as her five brother in-laws Peter, John, Bob, Norm and Garth Nalleweg and their families.
Pat also had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles that will miss her dearly.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the following people for their kindness and support for our mother during her illness without whom we wouldn't have been able to get through this; Bev, Cathie, Dianne, Heather, Kathy, Pat, Sheri, her nurse Christie, and Dr. Layher. We are forever grateful for your generosity and love.
A drive-by tribute in honour of Pat's life will take place shortly after 1 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Greenwood Cemetery, in Port Alberni. Please enter on Josephine Street.
