My dear husband Paul passed away in the company of his family on Thursday, March 29th, 2018 at Ty Watson House.
Paul was a loving husband of 61 years to Marie (nee McEachern), proud father to John (dear friend Simone), Russ (Margi) and Laury, and precious "Paws" to Rhianna Brown (Devin), Vaughan and Alia Adams.
He is remembered by sisters-in-law Mary McEachern, Grace Tingey (Art) and Marion McEachern, and predeceased by father Peder, step father Mandrup Simonsen, mother Anna, and sisters Eva Hansen (Fred) and Solvejg Sulley (Ron).
Born in Give, Denmark in 1931, Paul followed his family to BC in 1955 to begin a new life, meeting Marie shortly after arriving.
Paul was well liked and respected in his long career with M&B (1955~1991), starting on the boom at Somass Mill, then quickly advancing to Foreman at APD.
He was an adventurous man who loved the outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, and boating with family on Sproat and Great Central Lakes.
Paul will be fondly remembered by his many friends in the local crib, pool and bowling communities, as well as through long-time choir and elder service at Knox Presbyterian Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Alberni Valley United Church, 3747 Church Street, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14th. Flowers are gratefully declined.
