It is with great sadness we announce that Peter left us peacefully on February 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Peter was born January 4, 1923 in Dapp, Alberta. He met and married his best friend and wife Ann on March 31, 1945. They were married for 60 years and had five children. He settled his family in Port Alberni where he was employed by the Somass Mill for 43 years until his retirement.
Peter is predeceased by his wife Ann, infant son Brian, seven siblings, and his grandchildren Troy Lightfoot and Shari Allinott.
He is survived by his brother Harold, sister Gladys, son Bruce (Debbie) Allinott, daughter Karen (Ron) Manners, daughter Connie (Bob) Anderson, daughter Janice Boucher, as well as grandchildren Ryan, Charlane, Lonnie, Tammy, Stephanie, Shauna, and Melissa, and many great-grandchildren.
Peter took great comfort in his beliefs as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and looked forward to the Resurrection.
We would like to thank all the staff at Westhaven for all their loving care these last four years.
No service by request. Cremation has taken place.
