It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Petra Alice Heck (née Schulz).
Petra was born to Edmund and Margarete Schulz in Port Alberni, where she met her beloved husband, Daniel Heck. Settling in Lillooet, BC, the couple raised three daughters. After relocating to Prince George, the family suffered the tragic loss of Dan. Petra then returned to Vancouver Island, where her life was highlighted by the time she spent at her home on Sproat Lake.
The arrival of her first granddaughter, Dani, in September 2021 prompted a move to Fintry, BC so she could be with her every day. Dani filled her with so much love and joy that she found a renewed excitement for the future.
Petra always greeted everyone with a kind smile and left a lasting impression. She leaves behind her daughters Nicole, Silke, and Monica (Kyle), as well as her granddaughter Dani.
A service will be held at the Lillooet Rec Centre on July 16th, 2022 at 2pm. There will be another service in Port Alberni at a later date.
