Bob passed away peacefully at Ty Watson House at the age of 80 following a lengthy illness.
Predeceased by his wife Edna in 1996, he is survived by a brother Cyril (Bette) MacKay of Prince George and sister
Alvena (Herb) Simpson of Quebec; his children, Steven (Dianna) and Philip (Fran) of Kimberley, Robbie (Shannon) of Parksville, Christie Hill and Myrna (Jamie) Clark of Port
Alberni.
Bob leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are Edna’s children and their families; Don (Sherry) Dow, Debbie (Terry) Smith, Carol Matheson and
Lori Anderson.
Born and raised in Kimberley, B.C. Bob spent his working life at the Cominco fertilizer plant and Sullivan mine until he retired.
Bob was a former member of the Kimberley Pipe Band and was proud of his Celtic heritage and music. He and Edna enjoyed camping and fishing at Koocanusa and Larchwood Lakes. In 2007, he moved to Port Alberni.
