Bob was born and raised in Port Alberni. The family lived on Haslam Street and Bob attended John Howitt Elementary School Mt. Klitsa Junior High School and eventually graduated in 1978 from Alberni District Secondary School.
After graduating Bob moved to Calgary and worked in the automotive industry. That is when he became known as Alberta Bob. He returned to Port Alberni and was an avid fisherman and horticulturist. Bob enjoyed being around many of his friends and partying. In the last few years Bob returned to Alberta with his longtime friend Chris Radvilla and they worked in the construction industry.
Unfortunately Bob met his match with cancer and passed suddenly. We will all miss his smiling face and his humour.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 1 at 7600 Hector Road at 1 pm. Family and friends welcome, and we will post on Facebook.
